- Kurt Schoppe, MD: Board member of 220+ radiologist private practice, coordinated adjusting schedules, finances, and logistics for the group. Dept chair in radiology at 1000+ bed county hospital in Tarrant County (Fort Worth, TX), John Peter Smith Hospital. Worked with department administration to revise protocols for patients and techs in ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Prioritized patients in Dx and IR during shut down. Standardized radiology reporting for CXR and Chest CT. Adjusted radiologist and PA schedules and coverage to minimize exposure risks. Sat on hospital network COVID clinical steering committee to process new evidence, change internal policies/practices, and reallocate resources in real-time throughout the first wave (mid-March through present), planned staged reopening of OR/IR/Dx/clinics. Participating in advanced planning for resurgence locally and in the fall.
